This technique manipulates the soft tissues of the body through the use of long & short strokes.

Pressure is adjusted for the client's comfort. The pressure used with the strokes is regulated by the client, light to medium.

Lotion or oil enhances a smooth glide on the skin. Aromatherapy can be added or it can be fragrant free.

Soft music helps to create a peaceful setting & encourage relaxation.

What can result from Swedish Massage?  Massage can possibly release stress, increase circulation of the blood & lymph, enhance relaxation, decrease depression, improve immune function & sleep.

Deep tissue massage uses the deepest pressure. The  trigger points are held to release the extreme tension of the muscles. Specific areas are addressed.

Typically, jojoba oil is used in the smallest quantities for this type of massage.

The human energy field is connected with the greater universal energy. Energy is everywhere and it moves within the body as well as around our bodies and between all living things.

My training includes the modalities of Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and ARCH.  All the energy modalities connect the universal energy with the personal energy of the individual.

Through the art of listening to what the body needs, the session progresses for the highest good of the client. Releasing the issues that the tissues are ready to bring to the surface for healing.

Experiencing a session creates a more comprehensive understanding of the subtle changes that take place with energy modalities.

Japanese Massage is called Shiatsu.  This massage follows the philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Finger pressure is used to assist in alleviating digestive disorders; respiratory problems & guiding the body systems back to balance.

The client will be fully dressed with loose fitting clothing (elastic waist pants & a tee shirt).

This massage takes place on a mat on the floor.  The client focuses on their breathing while the practitioner moves around the clients body, applying pressure to the pressure points of the extremities to smooth the flow of energy.

The session begins with a gentle stomach massage, which connects the practitioner with the client and guides the session. The practitioner will move the client to stretch and rotate the joints of the body.  The extremities are positioned so that pressure can be applied to the pressure points.  It is a relaxing & gentle massage.

Raindrop Technique was developed by Young Living(R) as an alternative therapy to assist in addressing issues within the body.  Young Living(R) oils are of therapeutic grade quality.

The oils are applied to the feet, one foot at a time & along the spine. A gentle pressure and technique are used to apply the oils. A warm compress is applied over the completed application of 9 oils. This warm compress enhances a deeper penetration of the oils into the body. Gentle stretching will end the session.

A typical session will last

Aromatic oils will be applied to the body in two ways. One application is a dropping of oils onto the body which already has the lotion or oil applied.  The second application will be blended with the massage oil before the application.

Young Living(R) oils are therapeutic grade oils. Therapeutic grade refers to the quality of the oils set by AFNOR standards.  I choose to use Young Living(R) oils for the quality and the satisfaction from the product. All oils are used with the consent of the client.
